REMINDER: The Simcoe County Jazz Society Presents: The Climax Jazz Band
Sunday February 18th
The Climax Jazz Band consists of: Mick Lewis clarinet, Joe van Rossem trumpet, Tom Richards trombone, Jack Vincken banjo, Jamie Aug drums, Chris Daniels bass.
They perform at SEVEN44 Restaurant And Lounge, (formerly People’s Chicken, formerly Chick’N’Deli), where they began in 1983. They have performed for the Canadian Opera Company, The National Ballet, Toronto Symphony, major political parties, company functions and festivals across Canada and abroad. Their particular brand of traditional jazz includes marches, blues, ragtime, spirituals and popular dance tunes from the shows.
Climax are known for their wide variety of tunes, with lots of vocals; they play straight from the heart and with a great sense of humour. No wonder they are one of the most popular traditional jazz bands around.
So come on down, bring a friend or meet a friend. Jazz fans are the nicest people.
